Hi guys I recently acquired this Omega 2639-14, I want to know if the dial is original, just cleaned or redialed, someone here on the forum pointed out that it looks a bit to 'clean' although there is alot off aging around the hour markers, I would just to get 100% clarity. The hands is replacement.

    Regards Francois

This one of mine has a very similar dial for you to compare to. Your text looks nearly identical although the text seems to be a touch thicker. I have no reason to believe mine is not original.

It does look 'cleaned', but the bleeding of the metal oxide onto the face is present still as you say - most re-dials would remove all of that and not bother faking it. Also the lume, that is lume isn't it, on the indices? Re-dialers tend either to leave it out or renew. Unless you discovered a new 'retro' redialler who likes to knock back his dials a little from their perfection?

Thanks for the info, well it being cleaned doesn't bother me, redial would have been far worse.
