    Hi Guys,

I am currently looking for a vintage omega 36mm or larger. I came across this watch but I'm concerned the dial might be refinished? I have seen a couple other 2639-15's posted and the numbers on the dial look different. I'm new to vintage watches so also trying to learn as I make my first purchase.

    Thanks,
    Pat

Yes it looks like a redial to me but a nice one at least. Actually rather tasteful in my opinion.

Not doubting you guys, but what gives it away as a redial? I would wear this watch often, so will definitely add some wear to it. I have consistently read comments stressing originality, but is it the same thought process if you plan to wear the watch almost daily?

For me if a watch is an everyday watch it would matter more. I would have it on every day and I couldn't look at it, and what's the joy in that?

It's personal preference if it bugs you or not, but when spending a pretty penny why not go for original. That's my two cents on this.
