    I don´t know.
The situation in here is I´m in the point of buying it, I´m just waiting that the cover back came from chrome plating and then I´m thinking to buy it but I would like to know if it´s a good buy or not?

I can realise from the comment of the "watchyouwant" that I might have some costs already and I would like to discuss that with the watchmaker before I buy it.

If you can tell me more about It from the pictures I will be thankfull for that.

    Thank you for your help.

That depends entirely on the purchase price and how much you like it. It wll need to be serviced, which might get expensive.

I like it and the price I think is ok for the kind of watch, the thing is I already used this watchmaker for reparing/service me another watches and he is trust so far as I know, anyway you are saying that might have some repair to do, supposedly the guy told me that is full repaired and he gonna leave it running for a couple of days just to see if everything is ok.
About the "regulator" you are sure that is spent/end of life?

Another thing, when I took the photos the watch was stopped.

    Thank you for your help.

    Regards.

The regulator arm should be somewhere near the middle of the scale between A and R (avance et retard en français). That it is so far foward implies that there is a lot of wear in the system and it needs major work.

Pls., do some research on your own. learn about it and educate yourself for the future, before you buy it, depending on other peoples advise. easy to use search functions. everything is written 100`s times over......

The back should not be chrome plated, it's stainless steel.

If this is their idea of repaired...::screwloose::

Even if it only costs you $1, it will be a money pit.

    It has no collector value.
The movement is in poor physical and aesthetic condition.
    It has been re-dialed.
It will need a service ($200 to $500, depending on your location).
It has no shock protection, therefore must be treated with greater care than a "modern" vintage watch.
It is probably no longer water resistant, therefore risk of further moisture damage.

See this post above? Pay attemtion to it.

About the only thing you could do with this thing is pay Omega $1500 to restore it, because they would remanufacture the parts.

$1500 can buy you a reaaaaally nice watch.

Don't know why you seem to have your heart set on this one unless you've already paid for it?

    Hi all,
    Thank you for your answers.
The ideia is to buy a vintage watch , modern watches I already has.
I came to here because I don´t have deep knowledge about movements , to have a second opinion and to be sure that is a good buy.
Alright about the watch doesn´t have a collector value isn´t a big deal for me, about those points:
"The movement is in poor physical and aesthetic condition."
    "It has been re-dialed."
"It is probably no longer water resistant, therefore risk of further moisture damage."

I believe that are consequences of having a vintage watch, we are talking about a watch from the 50`s right, is this what we found in this kind of watches??

    Now about these points:
"It will need a service ($200 to $500, depending on your location)."
"It has no shock protection, therefore must be treated with greater care than a "modern" vintage watch."

I´m concerned specially because the watchmaker told me that is full repaired, about the shock protection, the watches of that time had it?

The price that the watchmaker is asking me is 470€.

So for what I can realise from your comments doesn´t worth it,because looks like I gonna have to re-service it(from your opinion +200 to500$), the crown I already told him that I want one from the omega(+50€+-), the strap I want to replace it as well(+50€)....

    Thank you for your help.

    Regards

Yes, he might have "serviced" it, cleaned and oiled, but plenty of indication that is all he did.

What sort of vintage do you want? Anything before a certain time? Anything that strikes your fancy?
