Subject: Seeking Information: Unique Omega - Cannot find an identical match online

Body:

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out to this knowledgeable community to help me identify and evaluate a specific Omega piece I currently have. I have done extensive research online, including checking various databases and Chrono24, but I haven’t been able to find an exact match for this particular configuration.

While I see similar models, they often have different reference numbers or are gold-plated, whereas mine is [Çelikse "Stainless Steel" / Masif altınsa "Solid Gold"] and features a unique [Kadrandaki farkı yaz: Örn. "sunburst blue dial" veya "crosshair design"].

Here are the details I have:

• Reference Number: 2545-1

• Condition: Qalibre 283

• Condition: The watch is in all orginal condition.

• Key Difference: Unlike the more common versions found online, this one has not common

I would greatly appreciate it if any experts here could provide insights on:

1. The history or production years of this specific reference.

2. Whether this dial/case configuration is considered rare or a special edition.

3. An honest estimation of its current fair market value, considering its rarity.

I want to make sure I’m not overlooking a significant piece of Omega history before making any decisions. Thank you in advance for your time and expertise!

Sorry my bad english

It's impossible for me to see anything in that video. The watch is constantly moving and going in and out of focus. If you want information from the members, I'd suggest post some good high resolution in-focus still photos from various angles.

I agree with Dan, the video is useless.

Please read this and do the best you can with photos.

Here is an example of a 2545-1 to compare to yours.

The focus on my phone camera is broken, and I'm having a hard time reading the small print even with my glasses. Would it be alright if I sent you the text from the back cover and the inside? I'd appreciate it if you could translate them into perfect English.

Saatin iç kısmında şunlar yazılı: Omega Swiss 17 Jewels Q 283 Ref No: 129964xx. Arka kapakta ise şunlar yazılı: Omega Watchc yazısının altında (üçgen içinde) PLAQUE OR L 80 MICRON, hemen altında dikdörtgen içinde CENTRAL WATCH CASE C ve mezar taşı şeklinde bir kutu içinde C.B yazılı. Elimden gelenin en iyisini yaptım.

The only thing that matches the model you sent is the reference number. Other than that, my watch has no numbers on it. They are not the same!

A single reference number can have a variety of dials, so it it the same as your watch just with another dial style.

The inside of the watch is inscribed: Omega Swiss 17 Jewels Q 283 Ref No: 129964xx. The back cover reads: Omega Watch, with "PLAQUE OR L 80 MICRON" (in a triangle) below it, "CENTRAL WATCH CASE C" (in a rectangle) and "C.B" (in a tombstone-shaped box). I did my best.

283 is the caliber, or movement model number, it was introduced in 1949.
Serial number 129xxxxxx means the movement was made in approximately 1951 to 1952.
Plaque OR L 80 micron means the bezel (Lunette) has a gold plate 80 microns thick.
The case was made for Omega by Central Watch Case Company (La Centrale) of Gehäuse; Biel, Switzerland.

I hope this answers some of your questions.
