Hi,

What is purportedly a reference 2451-2 with the coat hanger S in "Seamaster" (also with the very distinctive first 'e' in Seamaster) was recently spotted on the Bay. There is one more FS I believe on Chrono24 albeit with wrong hands, but this one does appear to be coherent example with even the Omega symbol in the center of the crystal. Just that I have not seen much of the "Seamaster" text appearing on the 2451 reference, much less on a "-2", than say on a "-11" where it could be more probable.

The 10.82 M serial puts in the pre-321 range and the 27CHRO C12 T2 engraving also points to the correct caliber designation for a 2451. What gives, is this a wrong caseback (unlikely) or is it a oddball dial/hands (baton hands to boot!) variation known in fewer quantities? Let the hive speak!

Another observation is the case size of 35mm and no bezel construction of the mid-case; and a possibility of a 145.018 dial and hands being mounted in a 2451-2 case.

Dial and hands don’t belong to the case and movement unfortunately.

Paging @cristos71 as I think he may have a need for this as a donor watch..
