So I sent my 2254 off to OSC Miami in earlier this year because it was running slow. My 2254 was returned looking very nice. It was polished up and also included a small bag full of parts and seals. However, it was still running slow. I emailed Omega Customer Service to let them know my concern and they sent out a pre-paid FedEx box. This time they sent it to OSC NJ. The report I received back said the amplitude was low. I’m not sure why a freshly serviced watch would have low amplitude, but nevertheless when I received it back, it had another small bag of parts which included a bunch of screws and the little cover that goes over the movement. It is now running well and keeps good time. I have included photos of the parts replaced and the invoice received from the 2nd service. Does anyone have any idea why the dust cover and all the little screws would have replaced? Maybe just routine to replace the screws after being removed a couple times? Am I the only one that has had a negative experience with OSC Miami?

I have had many bad experiences with the Miami service center, which has basically turned me off of Omega service entirely. I am now sending modern-ish Omega watches to Nesbit's in Seattle.

Glad you got your watch fixed properly. As for why they would replace those parts? I would assume that they were gauged and if they didn't pass tolerance for a new part, who cares, change it!

I have no idea but maybe they were damaged or marked up during disassembly. Mine that I am wearing today says hi. 16178342792678896744177690632981.jpg

I have had it since 2008 and it just had its 2nd service at an independent shop last Dec and runs at +1 second per day. Other than seals, a crown and a mainspring, everything else is original.
