I own this watch. It got sent to Omega in Switzerland to attempt a service back in 2011. They didn't. They hated it (see service item).

But they did at least give me this information:
Serial no. 13735980
Watch reference. BL201762

From that I believe it's from 1952/53 and its 9K Pink Gold.

It was my daily wearer for a long time, but I kept knocking or cracking the crystal. The crystal has a really raised bubble profile. A friend put a non-standard bubble on it, which fit, but I ended up cracking that too.

I recall the guy in the Omega shop (in Melbourne) was excited by it's rarity/redigree. But fair to say the folks in Switzerland were not so charmed by it.

Any help identifying it greatly appreciated. (I bought it from a second hand dealer abot 25 years ago, never had any documentation.)

It appears to be an Australian cased Omega from the 1950s/1960s.
If you can remove the caseback the marks inside will tell us all about the watch.

If you can't, and if you're in Melbourne you can send it to me for an inspection/photos.
No charge, just postage.

Except for some commonwealth countries. Only they made 9kt gold cases. So it isn’t an Omega made case which why they refused to fix it.

If you can find a goldsmith. Maybe they can repair it. Replacement crowns are gold plated. Maybe find a vintage to replace worn one
