    Hello all,
I found a vintage omega I really love and would like to buy, since I am not an expert I would like to see if you can advice, is it original?
Is the dial original? It looks in pretty good conditions for being an 80 years old watch...
Please let me know your thoughts!
    Thanks

Difficult to say only on those pictures. Could you take one after removing the bezel?
Looks like a non repainted dial. However non luminous dial doesn’t match luminous hands. One or the other is not original to the watch. One possibility is that the original luminous dial was replaced by a non repainted but not luminous one. I would be interested in the watch serial numbers (caliber and case) which can be seen inside after opening the caseback. Dial is of the 1940 or later style, would be interesting to compare to the watch estimated date to see if it can be original.

    Dear Tire-comedon,
Thank you for the help! I added few photos including the case with serial number, unfortunately I cannot get more photos since I’ve not bought the watch yet (trying to understand if it is worth and if it is original). Should be a caliber 26.5 produced between late 20s and early 40s based on what I found googling it. In the announce they say it’s from 1935
Price is reasonable, around 700 euro, if it’s ‘original’ enough I’m going to buy it even if a bit small for a man ... 33mm
    Thanks again!

In my opinion even it's authentic the price of 700 Euro it's to high for this watch..but maybe some other members with better knowledge to help with more info.

Thank you for your opinion! I am not an expert as well, I’ll trust the forum opinions to make the final decision!

I don’t think 33mm is a small watch. For 90-100 years and 20 years ago this was a normal size for men. Personally I hate nowadays huge watches. I think it is a matter of fashion and it will not last long.
Anyway, it’s a very beautiful watch mate!

I thought the same about 10 years ago...
I compared the huge watches with the dinosaurs which grew bigger and bigger before they vanished

I hoped the same would happen to the huge watches - what an error!

I do not believe that fashion will ever return to watch cases smaller than 36-37 mm

Never say Never Erich! Once the new "wearable Technology" comes along and incorporates itself into everyday life - the real estate on your wrist will get smaller and you'll need to accommodate.

The hands and dial are mismatched, although both may be genuine Omega products.

The seconds hand should reach up into the subseconds register to accurately read the seconds.

I would not pay $800 for this watch, even with VAT included.

People have been calling it fad that's on the way out for at least a dozen years now if not more...

I think everyone's vision has been getting commensurately worse with increased average watch size...
