Dear forum users, I have a Omega 166.064 from somewhere around 1968-1972 I assume. I read that as of 1964 all dials with luminous paste had to wear a "T" around the "Swiss Made" to indicate radioactivity. My watch and all other dials for the 166.064 that I found on the internet, do only have "Swiss Made", however, there is some luminous paste on the 5-minute markers. Anyone here who can help me with this contradictory findings? Thanks
Photos but be aware not all Omega models displayed the T marks so it isn’t a blanket red flag. The other 166.024s I found after a cursory search have no Ts like you said. This is perfectly normal, your watch may still have issues, without photos who knows, but the lack of Ts isn't one of them.
Thanks! I am questioning why Omega was able to produce a dial with luminous dots without marking them. To my understanding there was a governmental ruling in Switzerland forcing watch manufacturers to mark radioactively painted dials with the "T" as of 1964.
