    Hi,

I recently bought this Omega 166.011 from Japan. There is not a lot of information available online about Rev. 166.011 and most come from past sales in Japan.

Was this ref. only made for the Japanese market? If so, why? It seems to be not that common.

The pictures I posted are from the seller. I don't have the watch yet and don't know how the complete bracelet looks like. But from what I see, I don't think it is an Omega mesh bracelet. Any thought?

    Thanks,
    Roger

world_baseball2-img476x599-1480419119dhtsj531677.jpg I don't think that bracelet is from Omega but I found another Seamaster 166.011 on Yahoo Japan auction page, priced @ 45,000 yen.

Thank you. That price is in line with what I paid for it. The one I bought has onyx markers, while the one you showed doesn't have them. Both options were also common on the 166.010 Seamaster.

I am still wondering if the 166.011 was indeed only sold in the Asian markets. And if so, why. Apart from the slightly different lugs, it is very similar to the 166.010 (same diameter, similar dial, pointers, etc.). It appears to be much rarer than the 166.010.

At least on the picture, the one I bought looks to be in very nice condition and wasn't polished before. It is still on its way to me. I expect a 562 movement, but possibly it's a 565, which I prefer due to the quick date feature.

Yes, yout watch looks much nicer and in much better conditions. I am very sure it is a rare model and seems like only from Japan market.
