I have a omega 2894 in 14ct gold, the watch has now been serviced and is running great, all original parts, original crystal and crown, not sure about the dail if its repainted or what, it has a serial number and is signed ZJ, i looks unpolished judging from the difference on the case and lugs. Two things that would devalue this watch is a tiny scratch mark on the dail, and i tiny scratch on the side of the case (can easily be polished)
Im looking to maby sell this watch but I really dont know the price target for this one. Any experts out there?

The most recent sold on ebay was ~$2000, though there are quite a few in teh ~$1500-$1700 range on Ebay that haven't sold in a while. So: Sub-$2000 definitely, and probably about $1500, though you might keep it a while.

I looked back at your last thread, and it was the same MO ... "Watch is ready for sale, how much is it worth?" A cynic would say that these are just thinly veiled sales posts.

More generally, I would suggest that it's the seller's job to figure out their asking price. Valuation can depend on a variety of factors. Do some research on recent sales, think about how much the watch is worth to you, put a price on it, and see if you can find a buyer. Good luck.

This is a forum where one can discuss vintage Omega watches, isn’t it? Regardless, I can’t sell the watch here, so what’s the problem with me asking around among people who might have greater insight into this model? So I’d suggest you stop wasting your time lecturing people if you don’t feel like answering the question. Good luck.

Not sure how far this tone will get you here. Whether you agree with it or not, describing a watch in detail, mentioning you want to sell it and asking for nothing but a price is perceived as a way to circumvent the restrictions of accessing the market place here. You might have noticed that you didn’t get any responses to your last, identical question regarding another watch. You didn’t start a discussion - you asked for something a quick eBay search could’ve told you, hence the assumption you might merely want to raise awareness for your sale. Accept it or don’t, but telling @Dan S off for mentioning it certainly won’t help you get meaningful responses.

Only 23 satisfied customers in 2.5 years is not such a great record. 🙁

Considering how much you’re getting paid for this I think it’s quite alright!
