I just received this extract of the archives from Omega Museum for my CK14755 - Serial 1935xxxx number and Case 14755-62 would suggest 1962 production date, however when I received it I was surpriced to see the production date so early in 1961? Should I get a hold of the Omega museum to see if they punched a 1 instead of a 2? Any suggestions or input welcome
Something isn't right here. A serial 1935x is ok for a 14755-62... but production should be late 62 or early 63. I have seen quite a few extracts within this serial with these much later production dates. The most early 14755 I've seen extract from is from nov 1961 and that's serial 182x. My two 14755-1's are also serial 182x and are from jan and feb 1962, below. So either a real maverick on the Loose (just don't make sense at all) ... or, yes, I think it could be an error at/by Omega.
Case back dates can never be later than production. There can be several years between, but always with the case back being the earlier of them. Case backs are dated at production, so obviously something doesn't add up.
Yeah, my €65 find. I wrote Omega today, they admitted to the error. It said 1963, I will receive a new shortly. Thanks all.
