Respectable OF members who don't bump daily,
(the others really aren't... :D I know I'm beating a dead horse here but I can't help it...)

For sale is my Chronostop Driver, on its Omega Milanese and funky clasp so you can have your blood group engraved on it if you crash in your Kadett, Escort, or Fulvia (read on...)

It is really dRiver and not diver - this watch was designed to be worn by the Elford's, Surtees', and the Mikkola's of the world, on the inside of the wrist. This would allow to read the time at the first glance without taking the hands of the wheel, as the dial is turned by 90degs, so with your hands at 10:10 (think wristshot but not quite) the 12 o'clock marker is at the top.

This way, the single-pusher chrono is also very accessible to the right hand to time your next lap or rally stage (just don't hold it too long, or you'll wrap the car around the next lamp post though...)

see a pic of an old Omega ad (credit Chuck Maddox - never forgotten)

The watch is in great shape and dial is stunning with its warm patina, mostly visible on the 12 o'clock index. The 36mm case appears unpolished to me although I am not an expert in such matters! It does show some wear signs though, however as usual they tend to be emphasized by the macro, it real life all these tiny hairlines and micro-nicks don't quite show that much. The crystal is a genuine Omega sporting the tiny engraved logo at its center (you can see its shade on the last pic of the series further down)

The watch comes on its rather rare, at least in this condition, Omega Milanese mesh bracelet - good for a 20cm wrist, with a really really neat micro adjustment with some kind of a seesaw system. It also boasts a huge clasp that was designed so you could have your blood group engraved there - in order for the medics to have a chance at saving your life. The no-date Cal 930 functions properly and keeps time within 30s per day, service history is unknown however. I would recommend a service if you are going to wear it regularly.

Overall this is a cool watch with presence, despite its smaller size, and sure is conversation starter at a GTG esp. if you have a couple of petrolheads in the group! It oozes funkiness with its bright orange hand and weird dial positionning. Whoever picks this up will be very happy with it :)

There are a couple of them on C24 with meshes and they are priced north of $2K - I will ask for a more reasonable 1450 USD / 1300 CHF / 1200 EUR (other currencies available upon request) including fully insured shipping from Switzerland to Western Europe, paid to my transferwise account, net to me. This way it looks like a “local” wire to you regardless of where you are in the world and is as smooth as silk a banking experience as you can get (Even US buyers get it right first time :D). If you are in other parts of the world, let's talk about how to get it to you, I'm sure we can find a smart way ;) If you are in the Lemanic area, then I’d be glad to give you a discount, meet you in person with a mask, hand it over to you with a bow, and the beer is on me next time the bars are open . I am primarily looking for cash to fund (yet - sigh) another purchase, no trades for now please.

    Sales Terms: (inspired by Spacefruit's)
I only sell to bring some new pieces to my collection. I am not motivated by profit and so I have no reason to embellish or over describe, but I am not bothered by an uplift. I have (mostly) bought and sold (some) watches on www.OmegaForums.net and you can find my references here (https://omegaforums.net/search/13903340/?q=lonestar&o=date&c[node]=10) . I have met some omegaforums members in person in the Lemanic area as well as in Biel and Milan a few times, and I hope I made a good impression on them. I am not a watch dealer, I make my money elsewhere, watches are my pleasure, but I’m not a philanthropist either. I am not in the least offended by offers, as long as you aren't lowballing me - If you are, I will likely ignore you at the very worst ;)

    Returns:
I have done my best to provide as much info as I could. I will happily answer all your questions before the sale, and snap more pictures for you. I will not take returns for this watch unless you consider it is grossly misrepresented and you are willing to have a discussion about it all, openly, on omegaforums, i.e. not by PM but into the limelight, as I value my fellow OF members opinions. I am opinionated, but not stubborn.

    Payment:
Payment by Bank Transfer only. Paypal are a bunch of thieves. I will never, ever use them again, they are expensive and their protection level as a seller and/or a buyer when one is facing an experienced scumbag is nil. No more paypal for me, period. Face to face delivery is always welcome in the Lemanic area even in Covid times, as long as we both wear a mask :)

Thank you OF for the space, and stay safe everyone.
    Best,
    Paul
