Hi omegafans!

I just bought this watch and now i have a question for all of you! Can someone tell me what dial this is? It seems like it is very uncommon since i can't find any info like anywhere, not even on this forum and i think i searched for it all.. 😁
Please give me a lesson in my latest purchase!

Would be very thankful for any sort of help!!

Although Omega did issue some coloured dials I don't remember seeing an original in that colour. I suspect that your dial has been re-painted.
There is a seller in South Korea known for producing high quality re-dials using bright colours.

I think it's original. A quick Google search for "omega burgundy dial" turned up several.

Probably due to reflections

I did some searches myself and found a few of them but some called them "oxblood" and some just "sunburst". But the article linked in this thread is just great! Thank u for taking time!

After reading that article AGAIN, I'm happy with originality.

(I can remember in detail the first Omega watch I bought in 1964, I didn't remember that article from three months ago 😵‍💫)

Yea I actually had someone message me on facebook when it was published and he said something to the effect of “You did a lot of work on that and the detail is really good but do you think you could try putting that effort into a watch someone cares about instead of that Geneve”.

Since then I think these references have come up about a dozen times relating to purchases and its had like 2,500 readers go through it so there were always people keen just not much info.
