Dear all. Offered for sale here is my 1964 cal. 611 Omega 132.019. As shown, the watch will come on a vintage, black leather strap and steel buckle, both original and could well have been bought with the watch, as could the watch. They were purchased together and I have no reason to believe that the seller had put them together. If so, his selling tactics could do with a revision. The watch measures 34mm and were I to dig deep in the Guide to Salesman Bullshit, I'd say that "it wears bigger due to the slim bezel and bright dial", but I'll refrain from that. It really does wear bigger, though. The dial is as close to flawless as I think it is possible to get. The tritium has aged gracefully and all dial furniture is good. The only flaw that I can point out is the cracked crystal - this will need to be changed. The other scratches on the crystal are superficial. There are (tiny) marks along the edge of the caseback and a minor scratch on the back, but it is negligible - the overall impression is of a very well kept watch and the snapback is very tight. Chamfers are good and if it has been polished at any point, it has been done very lightly. Notice that the caseback has the original, brushed finish. Crown is, I believe, the original item (as is the cracked crystal, btw - there is a visible logo). (Additional watch not supplied. Not even mine anymore, come to think of it. Bummer ) (Yeah, the lower caseback isn't coming along for the ride, either. It's the top one you'll have to look closely at) The movement is unserviced and clean. Notice that the grime on the edge of the caseback is just that - grime. It is not rust, and can be removed with a tooth stick and determination. It will likely dissolve in a ultrasonic bath during a service. Accessories: The leather strap is a nice touch, but I would never wear the watch on it. If it turns to dust in your hands when fondling it, I'd be very surprised, but wouldn't give you a refund. The buckle is very, very clean though and should be Fondle-Proof (R). The box is in good condition, but is made of flimsy cardboard, as it's supposed to. There is a bit of fluff on the red lining, which could either be cleaned off with a pair of tweezers and Ent-like patience, but I'd suggest that you learn to get along with it, possibly even give it a pet name ("Fluffy" would be too obvious, IMO. "Rocco" might be a bit too masculine). I'm available for consulting on fluff-naming issues post purchase. How can all this goodness become yours, I hear you ask? Well, deposit the meagre amount of €460 (I WILL accept payment in Kruger Rands) on my bank account and you're on. I'll pay tracked shipping pretty much anywhere in the world. The watch and I are in Denmark, EU. You're welcome to return the watch, should it turn out that I have been untruthful or the watch disappoints in other manners. It really is good. Please respect that I do not wish to be contacted by dealers or others who intend to purchase the watch with quick profit in mind. (Naturally, when the watch is yours, it is yours - just don't contact me if you're already adding up the profits in your head).
