So I must be dense but I cannot re-size the mark II bracelet I just got. It is a 1159/ 154 and it has some sort of springs in the links that can supposedly be removed. I tried pushing one in then twisting to pop the link a bit to no avail. Granted the watch is 48 years old and I spent 40 minutes cleaning the gunk out of the bracelet. Any ideas thoughts welcomed
These are a bear to work with. Here's something that should help: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f20/help-sizing-omega-1159-bracelet-~1970-mark-ii-2118194.html
Had the same problem with the same bracelet. A spray called MOS2 and a good ultra sonic cleaning helped in the end. Good luck, it's the most beautiful bracelet on a MK2 in my opinion.
Saw that yesterday but as simple the instructions are the reality is a different deal for me. May need to get the bracelet cleaned up some more can't believe the amount of crud that came out of it yesterday.
It is relativity straight forward when you get the right technique but certainly being clean will help a lot
