Omega 1010 help

Hi, My friend has asked me to service his omega.
I've did my inspection, pre clean and cleaning process and the omega 1010 still has low amplitude according to the machine. It has a new mainspring in it. But to the naked eye, the balance wheel is spinning faster than the 170° dial down/up. Can someone help me figure out where the excess friction is coming from to reduce the power.

The sources of extra friction are nearly endless. You need to disassemble it again, clean it again, make sure every jewel is spotless, make sure every pivot of every wheel is in top condition (if not they need to be replaced). You need to check end and side shake on the barrel arbor and the barrel. You need to check for wear on the cap jewel and balance staff.

Just cleaning and oiling isn't enough...

Hi,
Thanks for the info, I did find that the seconds spring was pushed way too much against the pinion, that gave me 20° extra. The main culprit was the hairspring, the previous owner/repairer had bent the spring enough that it was not lining up with the regulator. So with some delicate effort I managed to straighten it the best I could and ended up with 220-240° amplitude in all positions.

That is quite low for this movement. Ideally you should be seeing 280-290 in horizontal positions...
