Looking for some help with the Omega caliber 1002?

The date seems to change a 2:30, is this normal?

Second, how do you hand wind this movement? There only seems to be two positions when you pull out the crown, first changes the date, and second changes time.

Thank you for any help you can offer!!!! I have searched the web, but can't seem to find much info on the 1002 caliber.

I don't think you pull the crown out at all - just wind it as it sits against the case.

Thanks!! Thought that might be the case, but I didn't want to mess up the movement.

This is my first Omega and my first vintage. :)

No, that's not normal. It should change at 12 and is just set up wrong. But its not a major problem and can be easily rectified by a competent watchmaker, or wait until you next have it serviced if it doesn't bother you too much.

Thank you, trying to find a watchmaker. I'm in a small town and the last one closed up shop a few years ago.

Do you mind shipping your watch to NJ? (We're not all Soprano-esque out here)

    LOL :) :)

No that would be no problem. My family lived in NJ, in the 40's and 50's before I was born. Tony Soprano always wore a nice watch, anyways. :)
