Omega “Stingray/Cobra” 166.121

I wanted a funky watch for wearing casually, so picked this up with an 1125 bracelet fitted.
The Bracelet is short a couple of links, even with spring bars all the way to the end of the clasp. Trying to find some extra links at a good price is tricky, and when finding incomplete bracelets or watches with bracelets, it’s the sizeable links that are missing (parted out).
The profile around the lugs is quite “chunky”, so plain leather straps just don’t look that great to me. Rally straps being the best of the bunch, especially padded, looked to be the only option.
When looking at Rally straps, I thought that if the strap could finish flush with the top curve of the case, it would compliment it so much better.
I fell down a rabbit hole looking for inspiration in regards to a custom strap and happened across the Lamborghini Miura and its equally gorgeous interior, specifically the seats. My aim is to get a strap custom made but happened across a £30 option on line. I had to trim the lugs down to fit but it’s not bad. The yellow stitching is not to my taste but it looks ok against the patina of the lume. It has certainly confirmed to me that a custom option in the same manner but more refined is the way to go. Requires a service and the second hand polished or painted, but keeping good time and date. Excuse the dusty pics, I took these this morning with eyes still waking.
Would love to know people’s thoughts. Any suggestions on where to find bracelet links and any other ideas on strap design or option.

ABP Concept Paris has a completely custom strap designer that I’ve used numerous times. A bit pricey but you’ll have all the options you need. Amazing set of leather options including stingray.
