One's on eBay sitting with bids at mid $5,000 with more time to go. Unbelievable.

Those are fake/shill listings, because you can currently go to StockX all day long and immediately execute at $1,000 or less

Given that Swatch has stated these will become available in greater quantities in the upcoming future (and online) one wonders... I guess we all need a little opiates for the masses at this time...

Swatch couldn't have paid an advertising firm enough for this kind of publicity. Absolutely brilliant marketing. Everything else......remains to be seen.

Well, at least there aren't any reports of gunplay in places like New York. A huge win there.

Agree, but will this publicity make Swatch more desirable, will it drive people into a Swatch store or online to actually buy a watch? Remains to be seen. More likely the kiddies will go back to their phones and Apple watch to tell the time.

Does anyone know if the Carnaby Street swatch shop was closed down after opening?

Lol.
I was thinking about the Eexact same thing last night and wondering how he viewed this latest development.
I can see the Pontif Making a video about "THE MAN ON THE F*****G SWOON SWATCH".

I reckon he'll be dumping any and all Omega watches(though I think he's already done that with the Speedies👎) and swearing off them all for life.

As I am travelling a very good friend went into town to check out the MoonSwatch launch in London today.
They even had my order / wish list (fat chance for that in the end ;0)
Even with three stores it was packed out/ big crowds and some had slept out to get their watch.

Some photos of the madness below.

I guess the launch was a marketing success and a sign confirmed they will be available on line soon........ which is much better than standing inline.
.
Eventually I will hopefully be able to get one at MSRP, but I won't hold my breath for that. But they are very pretty watches!

Jesus… humankind ::facepalm1::

yep. And just wait for the suckers who “missed out” to pay $1000 or more to flippers for the opportunity to HAVE IT RIGHT NOW!

True::facepalm1::
Actually they probably resent(deep down) the fact they're so strongly compelled to have it "right now".
But they're hooked on the idea of it.

Rolex are laughing their guts out.....

An absolute disaster. This is precisely what happens when you apply the sneaker culture type hype to something. People getting trampled, stock being sold out the back door to “private lists”, 10-20x resale prices, etc.

On one hand it’s neat to see excitement with Omega involved, on another it’s shameful because of poor execution. Perhaps they were successful in their goal, it just begs the question, “what were they hoping would happen?”
