Right, that would usually be the scenario, gold dial in gold case. I was just pedantically talking about the OM SWISS MADE OM, which specifically refers to the dial. The case will be marked separately.

By that I just meant 18k for example. I don't think it's ever 24k gold.

What does it say inside the caseback of your constellation and what is the cal and the serial number on the movt?
As far as I'm aware, solid gold Constellation cases are just that - solid, i.e. one piece, including the medallion.
You shouldn't be able to lose the medallion off the back of a solid gold Connie. (whether it's Swiss, French or British made)
If it's British (or French) I wonder if it was a special order to have an alternative medallion put in place instead of the observatory?

OM dials also appear in British cases - the dials and movts were supplied by Omega to be cased locally, in gold, to avoid heavy import duties on precious metals.
I can't quite see - are there any hallmarks on the lugs (two hallmarks on separate lugs) - if not, it's likely it's not a Swiss case.
The French tended to put a hallmark ( eagle head for 18k) on the caseback, the Dennison or Shackman (British) cases often only had hallmarks on the inside.
The dial itself is a bit of an uncommon anomaly in a 168.010 - these blocky indices are usually only found on the later flat dials of the 168.016/018 but do appear on earlier gold, deluxe, .010s

33,XX puts the movt around 1971, which is quite late for a car 564 but not unheard of

·Most of the 168.004's on ebay are caliber 561. Is this normal.
