Old woman’s Omega

I’ve inherited my aunts Omega . She was a small woman, but even with the clasp on its smallest setting it is way too large for my wife. Does anybody know if these bracelets are adjustable. It has sentimental value.

Thanks in advance

Lovely heirloom, unfortunately the only way to adjust the bracelet is to have a jeweler shorten it by cutting it.

As X350 said. However. The clasps may need to remade to fit the wider cut sections. Meaning you most likely need to redesign the clasp parts to fit the wider width of the band in order to reuse the Omega signed parts.

not that difficult for a goldsmith.

Do not take to a local jeweller unless they have a goldsmith on site to do the job. Otherwise they will send it out and just double the price to you.

best if you can find an independent goldsmith.

the above only works if the band is GOLD. Back of the clasp is blurry, but looks some markings

Do you think the crown is replacable?

Is the crown missing? You can buy a modern one, but a bit of a mis-match as new crowns are gold plated. Small so won’t really stand out.

if it’s going to be worn. Get it a check on servicing est. and then on cost to resize bracelet

depending on how much of the bracelet is cut off. Can use the cut sections as a partial payment to the goldsmith if agreeable
