The correct way, trying to get a nice turntable again.

I have a Little Pink Thing in need of a good home. Came to me described as "in need of a new drive belt". I forget what the arm & cartridge are but could dig it out & look.

I like to carry vintage pieces over their contemporary counterparts when possible, or at least from companies that have been around for a while.
Top pic is my jeweler's loupe inherited from a loved one, a Tiffany & Co. cigar punch (even though I don't smoke... tobacco anyway), antique Native American toothpick holder made for the tourist trade, and a Vivienne Westwood for Victorinox pocket knife.
I also prefer to use vintage tools for my workshop projects. I will always choose the hand tool over the power tool unless it's for something like a boring household repair. When I actually create things, I like to build them with tools that already have their own history and stories, but also by using hand tools you're forced to spend more time considering the approach and details. I really think they force you to create better work this way.

Very nice stuff, I was taking my woodworking hobby to the next level. Actual school, building a mantel clock from start to finish. The pandemia screwed that up, got to spring break. I got some ideas, for some handmade wood watch box.

I considered making a watch box too but I'm better with metal than wood. I may still give that a go once I get some other planned projects sorted. Share your piece when you get around to it, I bet it would be so fulfilling to lay your watch in a case you made each evening.

I buy shoes made in USA. Allen-Edmonds, Chippewa, and I am waiting for some Rancourt camp mocs in Horween No. 8 color.

I do have one pair of Red Wing shoes I wear but in general they don't fit me very well.

I have the same problem- they tend to favor narrow feet. I wore them for years and my feet changed shape as I got older.

Had the work boots for years, very comfy. I was thinking about buying another pair, just because no real need. But is always good to have a pair of work boots

I have this one pair, "Foreman", in 10D. Lots of room in the toe box, which is nice, but so snug in the arch area, it's riduculous.

I should sell them on eBay, for some reason people go nuts over that sort of thing.

Both made local to me.

I used to pick up the cosmetic seconds at the Pendleton factory store for a bargain. Too bad they have off shored much of the production now.

I still buy [and utilize] old school FLY NAVY bumper stickers. The one pictured below is covering some bumper damage that my beloved 2007 Ford Police Interceptor received in a Dunkin’ drive-thru [true story]. Also, old school FLY NAVY bumper stickers are super handy regarding pulling pranks on Army, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard aviators. 👍
