Hi,
I’ve found my father’s old watch, my mom talked me about it but I don’t really have any information. someone could tell more ? first, it seems to be gold-plated, it’s the only thing I can see…

thanks 😀

Others can help with model, but with those hallmarks, it looks to be solid gold not gold plated.

edit: I'm only looking at the hallmarks, I'm not familiar with this model

edit 2: I can’t believe I didn’t see the base metal shining through this morning. I shouldn’t comment when I’m not wearing my glasses. Sorry all

Quoted so we have the pics when you throw your toys out and leave like 90% of the others with fakes. I’m bored of that shit.

But thanks for your friendliness..

Just given the fact that it’s hallmarked as 18k yet there is base metal showing everywhere. And the writing on the dial looks worse than most preschool refrigerator art.

I’m quite calm but I’m also bored of queries from noobs who either can’t do 30 seconds of their own research or are yanking our chains. You got your free appraisal. You are welcome. Now jog on.

What if the OP were asking in good faith? We’ve seen a number of people whose relatives had bequeathed fakes. I’d rather be too polite than risk bullying someone who doesn’t deserve it,

One of the main tells is the ‘hallmarks’ on the outside of the caseback. In 99.9% of cases, this means it’s fake. Hallmarks are almost always on the inside.

That coupled with the fact the case clearly isn’t solid gold and the low quality of the dial allows anyone with experience of vintage Omega watches to confirm it’s a fake.
