Hallo and nice to meet you.
I received this old Omega. What do you think? is the case original? Is it military?
    Thanks in advance

late '29 or early 30's. not sure if the case or case back is original something about the rough finishing of the steel suggests this. ..Dial, crown and movement appear to be ok. it's value depends quite a lot on the size of the dial..is it 23mm or 26.5 across? I don't know if they did much larger except for possibly aviator models. I don't think it's specifically military...the inside of the caseback might offer more info. Not a dial design I've seen before with the faded 3, 9, and 12 numerals. - considering it's age it looks in pretty good shape. Is it working?
as ever, others will know more....

Case might be nickel actually.I think Omega worked with nickel earlier on. PXI stamp ....that might possibly refer to military PX stores? Others will know. looks like it's had one or two repairs/services in it's lifetime.
Don't expect it to be particularly valuable- small mens watches like these from the 20's and 30's have quite a limited appeal. Personally I like it, despite being almost 2 metres tall I'd happily sling it on my wrist. if i were you, I'd buy a nice retro style leather strap and wear the hell out of it.

Movement is Omega, that's sure. I'd say redial, look at that extremely odd "Omega" font and at the subdial's numerals, every "0" is different and the whole subdial is a mess. Hands look short. Case is dubious. All IMO, of course.

I feel the dial is good and the deco style is close enough t other Omega examples I've seen. Very reminiscent of German manufactured "Bauhaus" type watches of this era. Earlier Omega's in the early 20th century didn't have a uniformity of font so much..
But hey, what do I know...

I respectfully disagree. Looks like a redial and not a particularly good one. Hands don’t match the style either. Case is unsigned, regardless of the metal.

In fact, the only thing on this watch that looks to have been made in the Omega factory is the movement.

This is a pure parts watch, IMHO.

Yes, looks like a 23.7. Dial and case aren't Omega original.

Just my $0.02, but in the year that you have been on OF you have probably seen posts generally get better reception when the op gives their impressions (does their homework) first. Pics of the inside of the case back (or reasons why that is not possible) are all part of the research I would want to do myself before asking - unless I had no clue of where to start..

I like the mood of the watches you are interested in. Good hunting!
