Dear all,

I stumbled upon this old Omega „Incablog“ owned by a friend of mine. Personally I never saw such a model but I am also more into seamasters.

Does anyone of you know the model and can give me some information? I am not sure if it is a fake or real.

Thank you and kind regards
Han

Finally found a name for my watch blog!

Unfortunately I know nothing about this model but the dial has been redone, at least.

Thank you. The dial has not been touched since it was bought in the 60-70.

That watch is as phony as a three dollar bill. The case is not Omega, and the dial is not Omega, in spite of the Omega name on it. You say the dial hadn’t been touched in 60 or 70 years. Omega never marked their dials Incabloc. If you were to show the movement and the inside of the case back, that will prove it is a fake.

Thank you. The watch is owned by a friend and belonged to his grandfather. The watch was bought arround the dates stated and never touched again.

We are trying to figure out if it is a fake as you say or not. I am greatful for your input since I am not an expert nor do I know a lot about watches. I will try to get pictures of the movement.

But from what I read thus far, I am wondering of this is even necessary...

Practically everything I know about vintage watches I learned on this great forum. I have learned that:
1. no Omega watch ever said "incabloc" on the dial
2. no Omega caseback ever looked like the one on your friend's watch

I am a gambling man, and I would bet good money that the watch in question does NOT contain a genuine Omega movement....I think it's definitely a fake. Maybe an old fake, but still a fake.

If it was bought as is, 60 or 70 years ago, and not altered since it was bought, then it was fake when your friend’s grandfather bought it. Whether it is worth your while having the back removed and uploading a picture of the mechanism, is a decision you will have to make. But if you still doubt our collective opinion that it is a fake, then that is the only way to put your mind at rest.
