Hey,

can anybody help me out with this leather band please? Since iam not a expert in leather bands from omega I need some help in determine whether real or fake.

There is no sign on the back of the buckle. As far as I have read in the buckle thread, there should be some (at least if it’s genuine)

best
Oli

Looks correct to me. Over the years there have been hundreds or strap designs, this one looks to fit the period of the buckle.

Buckle should be signed, from the photos it looks like there's something at the back of the buckle though, maybe the inscriptions are smudged?

Moderner buckles are sometimes not signed, usually the leather they are on validates them, as far as I know there isn't a high quality fake leather and usually Omega straps are high quality, so you know the modern buckle is not fake either

But it's kinda bizarre that a vintage buckle is not signed

It all looks good to me. I have a buckle that is very close, appearance-wise, to the one you have, and the inscriptions on the verso are very shallow...some abrasion or a polish and they would be gone.

Hey thanks everybody! Ok, genuine…although there are no signs on the buckle (I’ve used a loupe to check again). Strange but anyway…

Can’t tell from the photos but sometimes polished gold/coated buckles lose the inscriptions

But it’s Omega, maybe it’s a rare unsigned buckle 😀

Nothing except dirt…
The buckle doesn’t seem to be polished at any time.

I think I have the exact same strap somewhere in the box
