Hey there everyone. I've recently become interested in watches and while I was looking through some of my grandfather's old things (he passed away over a year ago) I stumbled upon this watch and I recognized the brand, naturally. I have no info on it whatsoever. I do believe the band is a replacement, I'm not sure though

ANY INFO ON IT IS HELPFUL! Thanks.

I know what that is because I have the exact same watch.

This is a US national production model, Swiss Omega movement with a US made Jonell (letter "J" with a spear) case. Reference KL 6312. Movement is the 17-jewel, made for the US only, caliber 560.

Some sources say that only 3,000 of this particular movement were made:

IMO, there are too many of these watches out there to be that rare.

These were considered to be the "entry level" Omega Automatics of the late 1960's. You are correct, the band is a vintage replacement.

I wouldn't be so quick to discount the bracelet as being a replacement.

    US watch US bracelet.

    Great feedback, thanks guys.

    The band reads

    Duchess USA
    1/40 10k RGP Trim

Id only sell this in times of financial difficulties, but does anyone know the value?

I paid a little less than $200 for mine. I had it serviced for about $100. Total of both is a fair value for the watch.

Your case seems to be a little better condition.

Got it cleaned up and polished though there was a scratch or two that was too deep to be polished. he also opened it up and told me it's the 563 calibre to be specific, year 1966.

Thanks for for all your help on here guys, I'll be lurking the forums from here on out!

The case looks the same as mine, but the movement is an improved version.

    Very nice watch,
