Pulled these two from the bank today to take some pix to circulate (thinking again of selling a few things). Strange picture perspective; obviously the Sub is bigger than the TOG.

Enjoy.

Old beaters?!?!?! NO 🤬 WAY!

Those are definitely old, that we can agree on, but to many of us, those are also grails.😀

Very impressive watches you have there, I love seeing stuff like this. Wear them in good health if you don't end up selling.

How long since the initial purchase did it take for you to consider them beaters?

In my personal experience I'll buy something and have a few months I'm proud of you years while I take extremely good care of them. But once I find/buy something of a nicer quality I will wear my older pieces more often and not stress too much about any daily wear and tear.
I paid the money for my pieces so why not enjoy them.

Lol, was not what I was expecting...if you want to off load your FFs let me know. Or your sm300. Or your super compressor.

Maybe original owners' beaters, but obviously not yours!

Dang. Is that a 5510? Beautiful piece.

My wife has made me promise "no muesum pieces". I have to be willing to wear the watches I buy on a daily basis. haven't quite gotten past that mental jump to sport a grail equivalent yet.

Every vintage that I've chosen to keep for myself are beaters - I understand that they appreciate less slowly than minty fine examples, but I want to wear them, not keep them in pristine condition.
