After a year or so of longing, lurking, and learning, I finally pulled the trigger. Hesalite, tritium, gold 863, and display caseback —everything I wanted. Thanks @robinhook for face2face meeting and very good transaction.
Looks great!!! What model is that? I have the 3572.50. looks almost the same, but movement is not gold colored.
Hi @Taddyangle It is an early 3572.50, probably from 1997. I think the next year they went to the rhodium plating like yours.
Very nice meeting you Ken! Thank you for a smooth face to face transaction. I'm happy to see the watch going to a nice new home!
Great watch, congratulations. Especially that creamy colour of aged tritium, good job picking up such a neat 3572!
This is the transitional 3572.50 made during the first year they switched to this model number. The only difference between this one and the earlier 3592.50 is the engraving in the back, where the 3592.50 says “Speedmaster Apollo XI”, and this 3572.50 says “Speedmaster Professional”. In the book Moonwatch Only it was referred to as the “Professional Yellow”: https://omegaforums.net/threads/speedmaster-3572-50-with-caliber-863.81940/#post-1050827
Great looking watch, I was looking for one and missed a beautiful one on here as it did not have a bracelet. Kinda mad now as Im sure I could have easily sourced the bracelet later on. I really like the Tritium and the gold 863! ? Of the 3572.50 and 3592.50 which ones bracelet is better?
Hi @WatchTimes Mine did not come with a bracelet (and may be the one you looked at in the Sales section.) I will add a bracelet some time in the future and wear it on leather or Nato for now. I'll let others chime in on which model had better bracelets as I really haven't researched this. --Ken.
