Regardless what bracelet this is on, really IMO the best looking sport watch of all time. Best bang for the buck as well.

You rank the SMPC above the speedy?

For me personally, I don't prefer chronos. I like the speedy don't get me wrong. It's on my wishlist. The Seamaster and submariner have always been the rivalry between diver watches. I've owned both at sometime in my life. A lot of people would disagree with me on this, I prefer the Seamaster over the sub. In the hand, the omega seems like a better built watch. The feel of it, the design of the case, and the size and weight. I am referring to the non ceramic subs. Also, you see subs all over the place. Probably 50% of those are replicas. Years ago I would always prefer an Omega over Rolex. I use to be anti Rolex because I felt like the wealthier of America didn't have imagination and would go straight to Rolex. I don't feel this anymore and have a great respect for Rolex. I sold my Rolex Explorer II 16570 and bought myself a SMPc, so I'm back on the Omega bandwagon again.

We are in agreement then (not that it is necessary!). I think I've owned every modern Omega Seamaster reference, and a 14060. I WANT to like Dive watches....but they can't steal a second of wrist time from my speedy, so far. (Off topic - I'm actually going to try to upgrade my 145.0022 to a Speediorite).

Back to dive watches.... I would rank them (and these are only the ones I've owned):
1) Blue SMPc/Black SMPc (they are the same watch....it's just personal preference with color)
2) Omega 2220.80 (Best value of any diver, ever)
3) 14060
4) Omega 2254
5) Omega 2531.80

Now, I'm sure I'd really like the new Sub ND Ceramic. It'd be up there with the SMPc. However, it's twice the price, lol, and might even rank below.

Now, these are just the 6 I've owned. I would imagine that a SMP 300 Watchco would rank towards the middle to top. Also, I would be shocked if the SMP 300 coaxial (from 2014) won't be at the top of my list once I get it. I think it will be able to steal speedy time 馃榾

Brian, the OP of this thread, is Mr. Seamaster. I think he currently has two, but he's held every reference for an extended period of time. I'd be interested to see his ref ranking.

It would take quite a bit to pry this SMP off of my cold, dead wrist!馃槈

I just tried swapping my bracelet from my CRPO to my SMPc. It fits snug. Not sure if I dig it, but does tone down the bling factor of the SMPc.

Who here has owned theirs the longest? Being a glossy dial and ceramic bezel insert, seems like this model would look good as new forever.

Do not stare directly into the dial. 5 minutes could pass and you would not notice. This dial is absolutely gorgeous. It's like liquid.

Ok...that was dramatic. I'm NOT a rolex hater...but I like the SMPc vs the SubC any day of the week. I think I probably like the old Seamaster 300's and Fifty Fathoms more 馃槈

Anyone got this on a ceramic planet ocean rubber deployment strap?

Dewey, I know you like that Europelli shell, but Myron's Arts & Crafts shell is winning this thread so far, IMHO. You could break out the OMC strap and just take the mystery out of the best strap combo.

Here is one of my favorite combos:

On a Rover Haven Natural Shell, simple stitch strap. Probably the most comfortable watch strap I own!
