Dedicated to the best SMP model...ever. SMPc blue on Rover Haven Arts and Crafts Cognac Shell On Europelli Oxblood North of Cordovan On Omega Mesh
From the archives: On Rover Haven #8 On 1610.930 Note: don't let the freckles distract you, focus on the watch/strap and/or bracelet combos
Dewey, despite the ginger completion, the watch IS beautiful. I would be interested in a poll between the SMPc & Bond Coaxial. I'll start one at some point. (Note to forum--Dewey is a buddy of mine, hence the "ginger" dig)
Yes, that would be a good beating for 2220.80...I mean "comparison" between two great Omega specimens. Actually, the best outcome is to own both!
A new shot of my SMPc blue. I love how the blue POPS in the sunlight. Yes, I know it's like the first one.
The freckles aren't distracting. It's those badly scratched and scuffed lugs on all photos except the Rover Haven #8. The lugs in your last photo look positively mutilated. How in heck did that happen? Really nice straps, though... Stu
Yep, that is Dewey's custom Arts & Crafts strap from Cognac shell. It turned out really nicely! Myron
Sheesh, if you think that's bad you should see some of the pieces in my collection. Personally, I'd like to see some more SMPc watches in this thread. Do you have one to share? Myron
The watch lugs are brushed finished. How can I explain that...... Polished = Shiny Brushed = Not Shiny Still don't get it? It means it has a "brushed" appearance. Using a high definition camera picks up "brush" marks. You see that is different from the factory polished finish on the lugs. It's a bunch of little scratches ALL together. If brush finishing is mutilation I'm Jack the Ripper, and you are my chicken dinner.
Yes Jack, I get the difference. What I didn't realize was that you'd done that intentionally. To each his own...
