And keep on going 👍

Always a soft spot for the MGB, the overdrive at that time was quite special although there was another more special item 🥰

Yes, I see your special item... the Rostyle wheels, such a classic style 😉

Of course besides my Valiant pictured earlier, I drove this in Fla recently for over a month. I wept openly and without shame when I gave it back to Budget! Of course utterly useless where I live but ....

Mad dog it appears you have gained another Mustang convert.

Why the tears? Did they give you an EcoBoom instead of the GT? Just kidding, I fully get it; this was in my parking bay in the underground car park a while ago. Was a real struggle to had it back.

Loved the Ecco boost. This is a near perfect sports car. Garage queen though in Chicago winters.

Whoops, memory's going!

Forgot I had one of these. It was a beautiful thing to drive, and I was always smiling, people must have thought I was mad.

My first car HG Holden. Bought it cash $$ a week before I even got my L plates at 15

Then had one of the slickest HQ one tonne utes WB front end with a 304 Brock polarised motor (from a VK brock that was written off) and a 2 speed ratchet shift built from several power glide gear boxes ( similar to below )

Just found an old photo of dad’s trashed Volvo

still, that Volvo crumple zone probably saved his life. Dread to think what would have happened had he been driving some of the typical British crap of the time.

*pics are not of my actual cars
For me, it was definitely the car I had in HS, a 1978 Trans Am:

As in your face as it looked, it was a weak 220HP 'muscle car.' But boy did it get everyone's attention when you pulled up. The car I'm most fond of that I never owned (it was my dad's) was this 1968 Z28 Camaro. It had a high output 302, which was a destroked 327 Vette motor. The intent was to pass it to me when I was old enough, but my mother drove it a few miles with no fan belt one summer. Engine was cooked beyond repair.

OOO yeah Wetworks!

'68 302 Camaro! Another good high school friends' older brother had one in Matador Red with the white stripes. He'd tweaked the engine for even more "go." For acceleration it was bad-to-the-bone!

302 was happy at high rpm's and was GM's answer to the Boss 302.. One of my favorite small block powered muscle cars👍

Mad Dog, I covet your wheels! They possess the "look" I want. Sort of like the old Cragar Super Sports which can't be had for our car because of its brake design.

Since we got a Dodge Challenger back in May of last year Mrs. noelekal and I have been in disagreement over the wheels provided as a part of the "Blacktop Package." She likes the look. I think it looks cheap and nasty.

Can you imagine how much better the Challenger would look with your wheels?

Yummy!

Bought this '83 Lincoln Town Car in 1997 for $1800 cash with after-school random job's money. I was living the life as an 18 year old on the east side of Cleveland...

That would be my 1969 Ford Cortina 1600 Super. My very first car, at the time when I got a girlfriend. That’s when owning a car can be a great advantage! She later became, and still is today my wife and life companion. Lots of memories connected to that car.
Not mine but exactly similar:

Yeppers...I had one of those...it was a 1991 [Gen 1]. 👍

Really liked it...except for the fact that my squadron buddies would say that I drove a “chick car”. 😡

Also, I was thinking about modifying it into a “Monster Miata” at one point. If I remember correctly, that was a Ford 302 V-8 shoehorned in there...but that never came to fruition regarding my Miata.

Late entry modified pic...
