Great article! Very interesting and informative. But it started getting me worried again about getting parts for my watch as I plan to wear it till it’s time for me to exit and I hope to still have a while longer here.
Thanks all. Feel free to debate the topic and the perspective. Hearing a range of views is what makes this place so great!
I wouldn't have if Marc didn't link to it here. So, now that you're famous, can I have your autograph?
Thanks for posting! I am working on restoring my 1970 Speedmaster that was serviced by Omega and this is definitely interesting to ponder.
@oddboy - Just saw the "Looks kind of like a paperclip, doesn't it?" at the end - is that an inside joke referring to that former member who actually used a paperclip in that part's place?
So, where can I find a cheap speedy flat foot crown ? Just kidding, thanks for spending time sharing your perspective.
it is a reference to that, though i found out from Al while writing this piece that the part I posted a pic of is not the same one that was paperclipped in that situation... .... @ulackfocus, is that a term we can add to the OF Lexicon? "paperclipped"?
