Odd question - anyone know of any escrow services in Brazil?

A bit of background - I won an auction for a watch located in Brazil. The seller hasn't sold any previous watches of over ~$500 and this one is substantially more than that. He is hesitant to use the local postal service because he's had issues in the past with empty boxes being delivered - so he planned to use FedEx. Unfortunately, FedEx will only insure 'gifts' up to $100 - which he thinks will leave him on the hook for the remainder if the package were to mysteriously get lost. If he were to send it as merchandise, for customs purposes, he needs the previous invoice for his purchase which he doesn't have.

I figure if I can send it to an escrow location in Brazil, then I can take on the risk of FedEx losing the package and the difference in what they would ensure - not a great deal but I'm not seeing too many other options. Anyone have any sort of experience/advice with this and foreign sellers?

I've never heard of FedEx losing a package. They are very reliable. I also thought they will insure a watch up to $1,000. Parcel pro is also an option for additional insurance.

Initially, it thought you were in need of a Brazilian Escort Service which I believe are plentiful. Escrow, harder to find. :)
