Look. OB called me to placed deposit. I was 7th. I paid when others didn’t. All I’m saying is they better to soil me for some “vip” like Rolex does lol
The most selfish thing I’ve ever read here. “Me, me, me. I gave you money, so I’m the most important person at the OB.”

Actually, it is. You’re not going to get special treatment just because you placed a deposit. Your attitude about this entire thing is absolutely insane.
So they call you and you say “nah, I don’t know what it looks like”. They call me and I say “I know it will be great. Take my money”. You should get first later because you have some history? lol

But if its no LE shouldnt you simply be able to walk into an OB and order one? If not they're playing 'Rolex games'?

In theory yes, in reality probably no. Stores will look after their VIP's first. Why upset the VIP to give you a walk-in the first watch?

You started off with saying Omega watches are jokes, then you say if they don't treat you right, they will remain a Walmart brand... You say you have great pull with Rolex, Patek, AP etc... It seems like you think Omega are some lowly brand and they cannot play the same game as Rolex. I am only responding to the tone of your comments.

This is not about deposits... I don't come here to advertise if I am a VIP somewhere. I come here because I have a genuine interest in the brand and history of the moon watch.

I like Omega for the Speedmaster iteration plus the snoopy factor; sure. I like uniqueness.

buzz butt got flames for having a sub dial
Snoopy has a cartoon dog in the subdial

aside from that, the Apollo 11 is better in many ways (gold, bracelet).

yet that got flamed and this as an £8,200 bracelet less watch is applauded?

I must be going mad?

I have big pull with Rolex, Patek, AP... Omega; I wait for something rare like this. They better act right lol. Otherwise omega will remain a Walmart brand. You know what I mean lol
No need to flex. You don’t need to impress people with your big pull.

So you placed $5k deposit on this watch, and somehow try to communicate that with Rolex, AP and others you are important.

Are you important enough that your Rolex AD called you to offer A Rolex 116595?

Because I bought two of those last year and skipped the waiting list.

One for my wife and one for my girlfriend.

This is why many places won't take firm deposits, they want to dictate who gets the product. Easier to ignore the first 20 names on the list with no deposits when your big VIP strolls in and wants the watch NOW. Harder to do that when you have 20 buyers who have put down $5k as a deposit and are waiting for delivery.
