Another thing to consider when it comes to the price, I think it's just this and the A11 50th that have the 3861, remains to be seen whether ~$9k for SS will be the new norm for the 3861, but it isn't exactly apples to apples to compare it to cheaper speedies that are using the 1861.

Great release! I'll try and pick one of these up maybe sometime next year.

I like it and I have phoned my OB again and tell to them.

But all they said was that they will contact me as soon as they get the first stock.

There is still no way to fast track and/or guarantee on getting one.

Speculators are not happy 👍
Yeps, first and foremost it is a non limited one. And then price wise 10 bucks do not leave too much space for speculation at least until supply from Omega lasts and that would be for a couple of years to come!

LOVE the watch. I would absolutely jump on this but $9600 plus tax at a total of $10.2k for a non limited edition will most likely be a no go.

At this price, I would have persisted if it were around 2000-3000 pieces. Non LE but a LP with not even a 321 caliber, I would have stayed on if it were under $6500. Think I’m going to be asking for my deposit back. It pains me but no way I’m paying over $10k for a non limited edition watch even though I LOVE it.

I know it's not LE or LP, but I have a feeling that this is going to be a disaster and most people are not going to be able to get one.

So it might become a limited edition by other means.

blue and white would be fantastic. the Earth rising image is one of the strongest images that came from Apollo. I'd love to see that incorporated into a watch at some point. It would be almost as good as an Omega Snoopy doghouse shaped box.

Well, I said I would love an Earth rising image and I do.

Absolutely in love with this.

the factory works at 50% of its production which i believe there will be delays from first batch to another.

Well obviously a lower price would be better, I think price makes sense...for what you are getting.

When you consider the 3861, silver dial, animated case back features, and case accessories.

I don't think you will get that much value in 2020 with any other high-end brand at the level of detail you are getting with Omega.

Just my thoughts.

Is this boutique only watch? or Can I order it from an AD?

Too much like the CK2998 Blue Panda, I actually have mine on that same blue strap and DP buckle. And I paid a lot less than $9,600 + tax, which means it will be about $10,400 +/- for most US buyers. Pricey for a steel, non LE watch, but the back is cool. Omega will sell tons of them. Flippers will be disappointed.

A11 50th was ~7k pieces at the same price and its value has held up (wouldn't make much if you were trying to flip it but value has held). I think it's still going to be effectively a LP around the same number of units, they're not going to produce a 50th anniversary Snoopy edition for the next 5-10 years. If you look at other LP watches like the Ed White or A8, they don't mention that they're LP in the online descriptions so not sure how much the non-limited really counts, I'll ask my OB when they open.
