·Congratz to Omega to win the Silver Snoopy award 55 years ago... but Apollo 13 feedback also lead to the introduction of a far more practical bezel (already requested in 1967) which next year will be celebrating it's 55th anniversary of use at NASA...

·I see about 190 'in stock', with box and papers on C24. Bottom price is about $15,000 so they are holding their value pretty well for a watch that has been made for six years now. You still can't just walk into a boutique and get one, but they are readily available if you want one.

·This where Rolex shine, they are the masters of marketing and know exactly how to create hype, demand, and brand loyalty. Omega should have discontinued this model since Oct last year and let age gracefully.
To get this watch from Omega, they require a heavy spend (previous purchase history of 2 watches minimum), playing the Rolex game, unfortunately for people spending so much they would lose literally on every watch they buy 25 - 35% if sold new, and the expected gain from Snoopy is zero as Grey dealers won't pay over msrp to stock them.
Omega CEO and marketing team should be fired, they should either make the watch accessible since day one, or discontinue the damn thing rather than making it tank.
Certain watches should be exclusive under both speedmaster and seamaster lines in order build some hype and exclusivity as I mentioned before, this is the trend in the watch industry and Omega pricing has increased significantly to point where value retention can no longer be ignored.

·Collectors fret about a lot of stuff, some of it pretty small and inconsequential, imo, but some of the later Snoopy dials are just plain poor. Perhaps they passed Omega's internal QC but the fact that Omega is willing to replace dials that the owner thinks are deficient tells you that Omega knows they aren't all up to snuff. Omega figures most will slide through and the owner won't know any better or accept it, but some owners won't be satisfied and for those owners Omega will swap out the dial.
I think this example is about as good as it gets, it's a dial from 2022 and it shows everything in sharp relief.....heavy lines, full zipper, all stars showing five points, sharp distinct lettering. Heavy dark blue enameled surface.

·Honestly the Snoopy should've been made a limited edition like the last couple, capped at a set number as the last two editions were. But Omega omega'ed and mass produced them instead (yes they tried to say they're scare but go on Chrono24,, there are around 100 for sale in the US alone)
It is a cash cow because everyone wants a Snoopy, but they flooded the market. Sure you can wait for the Boutique to offer you one at retail maybe, but plenty available now.
