What is your expectation in terms of communications? Surely given that the shipment rate is variable, and the queue is variable, it’s not really possible for them to offer much meaningful communications.

Also frankly part of what makes it desirable is the wait and the not knowing. If it was all very predictable and robotic it would take some of the fun out.
Omega will know how many they expect to produce in a year, they will therefore have an idea how many each boutique is going to get that year. It’s not random. Someone somewhere at Omega will know exactly what the likely timescales are, they just aren’t telling us.

How low do you think the grey market price could drop to mid 2024 ?
They are currently at £18k in UK but £15.5k overseas. I think they will drop to £14-15k UK and slightly lower overseas.

It smells that I was maybe a bit optimistic to think that they would produce it until at least 2024 with the no delivery activity for 2 months

Lot of sales on C24 too.

Personally I still think it’s unrealistic unfortunately to expect Omega to continue manufacturing into 2024 and beyond a special and exclusive watch announced in 2020. It would essentially mean them just grinding these things out in a slightly disinterested way for years, while they announce, create buzz around, and manufacture newer products that moves the brand on.

Can’t be good from a business perspective to have so much interest (and deposits!) tied up in a product from years ago, IMHO.

Do you mean sales or listings on C24? Is there a way of seeing what has sold and for what price on there? I’m only asking as I’ve always thought that just because watches are for sale at a certain price, it doesn’t mean they are selling for that.

Cheapest listing I've seen on the internet is here on OF for $19,500. Must be sold to US only though.

All the listings on C24 start from $21,500.

I'd be surprised if production is finished for the Snoopy.

And I'd expect some blowback from those 00s or even 000s of customers who have waited years with deposits.

It would be interesting to see some non-advertorial coverage of this rollout from the watch press.

I have cancelled 2 Omega orders since my own Snoopy debacle and will never again preorder with deposit. I imagine other feel similarly.

Good as always thought to see fresh Snoopys appearing in this thread. Congrats to all the new owners!

Agree on the deposit, especially on a high demand watch. Same thing happened to a friend roughly two years ago, they took a deposit on an FP Journe Elegante Quartz in London which was not in high demand at the time as the other mechanical FP Journes, the agreed estimated wait was around 1 year. They called him a few months later telling him they cannot get the watch and to take back the deposit, he decided to go legal and put a lawyer, a month or so later they said they made an exception for him and will get the watch.

My rule of thumb is to discount the C24 asking price about 20% and that gets you in the ballpark of the actual market price. I was offered a BNIB Snoopy for US$19k net in January 2023. I think that is where they really are at this point. I passed since it just isn't something I was interested in. The Ed White 321 that I bought last year is far more compelling at around the same market price, imvho. Frankly I'm surprised that the Snoopy still has so much interest three years since it was teased on Instagram. Lightning in a bottle for Omega.

My understanding is that only US customers with a deposit with an Omega boutique were guaranteed a watch. For the most part, I think almost all US OB deposits have been filled.

Interesting to look at Omega’s current social media marketing - lots of coverage of Apollo 13, lots of coverage of the Silver Snoopy award, lots of Snoopy plush toys, no mention of Snoopy watches and none of the celebs wearing one (as far as I could see at least).

I do get this doesn’t mean anything in terms of whether they are still manufacturing them - given that demand already wildly outstrips supply it wouldn’t make sense to continue promoting the watch - but it does suggest to me that they want to move the conversation on.

You may well be correct -- but my direct understanding in Canada as a Snoopy depositor was that those with deposits were guaranteed a watch also, though with a flexible timeline. At least, that is what I was told directly by AD and Omega rep in the year they were announced and what I was told when I contacted our one OB.

It doesn't really matter at this point -- I no longer expect to receive a Snoopy, and it ain't keeping me up nights. But I do think overpromising and underdelivering on this scale and price point isn't a great look.

I would much rather have been told that only 5/10/15k of Snoopys were being produced, that only US OB customers with deposits were guaranteed one and that any other list w/ deposit was a hope and a prayer. Then you're in Rolex country and all is familiar.

Omega didn't want to be tied down to a set number of watches, but the process they used was opaque and poorly communicated. It's still poorly understood, and Omega seems fine with that. Some markets/countries didn't allow deposits so that further fuzzied up the system. Snoopy may be a good financial deal for Omega but the public's view of the process is pretty negative.

I'm trying to get this watch in my hometown, where OB don't accept deposit. I registered my name to salesperson on the date of announcing this watch yet nothing coming back since then. In the 1st two years I contacted that salesperson once every 3 months to check my status, but I was only given a standard reply - supply of this watch is tight and thus 1st priority is given to high valued customers (implying I'm not in fact).

Until early this year I checked again with that salesperson about my status in the queue, and was given a reply that "your name is only appeared in wish list and it doesn't mean you're queueing......so and so forth". I'm shocked and highly frustrated. I really donno if I can get this watch before 2024. Frankly.

I'm a 1st hand owner of 1st gen and 2nd gen Snoopy watches and a Snoopy lover. I'm thinking whether I should turn to grey market instead.

Assuming it’s a real corporate OB, if you haven’t already, get to know the manager, establish a relationship with them. Take your other Snoopy watches in to show them, make conversation, talk about any other Omegas you have, your history and love of the brand, etc. If you are in the market for any other standard Omegas, make sure to buy them from the manager. IF they can even still get Snoopys at all, the manager is the person that can most help you.

If you are looking to complete that set, I'd pay up for the grey market. I can't see the secondary market going any lower than the $18,950 one Jacek has listed. Plus, if and when OB delivers another one to you, you could always sell one of them back to a trusted dealer with little to no loss, or even a gain.

Hello everyone,
I share my joy to have finally received mine, I specify that it comes from a multi-brand AD,
that with us they are limited to 3 pieces maximum and that it is therefore necessary to be one of the first 3 to have made the reservation to hope for one.
Soof course AD is honest and doesn't end up on the gray market.
FYI second hand in France at a pro we find at 17900 € proof that the tension on this model has decreased.
Good day to all and good luck to those who are still waiting for theirs.
