OB in the UK have stopped tKing names, that was the case 3 months ago, apparantly thats instructions from omega as they expect it to take 3 years to fulfil the current orders.

Yeesh.

Well, initially this was meant to be an anniversary watch.

I now view it as a retirement watch.

The Snoopy saga has begun to take on the ring of the old Patek adverts -- except that this current generation of owners may barely get to open the packaging before it has to hand it onto the next.

I'm hoping with this economic downturn that Omega is further incentivized to keep pumping them out to keep the profits rolling.
Stay strong everyone!

Omega has to fulfill the outstanding deposits still waiting for a Snoopy before they can think about the state of the economy or future profits.

If it ever came down to choosing between 1) fulfilling Snoopy orders or 2) looking after the stability of the company in the short/long term, you can be assured they will look out for the owners of the company and flush the Snoopy waiters. That's their fiduciary responsibility. No one expects that to happen but there is no contractual obligation for Omega to satisfy the Snoopy waitlist.

You're true but well with this outstanding waiting list they are sure to sell and have benefit whereas with some models they are definitely not sure to sell them...even if this is rather AD problem who will buy it

Hosing some of Omega's most loyal would be such a terrible move, I hope they don't pull the plug and they finish what they started.
This would be an interesting turn of events if realized. Would need an incredible PR campaign to win back clients, possibly longs stand clients that will never trust the company no matter the scenario. I will definitely never place another dollar on a company that does that to me and would never recommend such company to a friend or anyone that I ever talk about watches. BTW: still waiting for my piece since I can’t even remember when I paid for the piece, one day maybe 22 or 23, what the hell maybe even 24 at this pace.

I know clients with full deposit in place and expected delivery is 2023 and possibly pushing to early 2024.
So… it’s just a waiting game at this point.
Nobody is taking any new deposit at this time, it would be crazy.

Waiting can be very frustrating, I’m glad I got mine 😀

I hope you / we get one soon. Though I don’t think omega or any other brand cares what a few watch enthusiasts feel about getting / not getting a snoopy

The vast majority of all sales come from people with just one watch, after all

Seems there was a flurry of deliveries here on the OF in the middle of the year, and now everything went quiet. Either OF members are not sharing their good news, or there was indeed a slow down..

These seem to come in waves, which makes sense since theyre supposed to be "limited production"

No idea how many production runs Omega does each year, or how many watches are in each run though.

Yes, sorry there are news. I was off the forum for a while, like many here, a bit frustrated for the lack of news. I had my name listed the 5th of October 20. Last week, so almost 2 years after, I got the call. It seems there are still very few here in my European small county, but here it is. The experience at the omega boutique (not factory owned) was incredible. Champagne, very formal delivery. Amazing.

They are delivering them, I know 3 clients in Europe that received their Snoopy during the past month.
So… it’s taking time but the list is moving.

Regarding Boutique experience…when I picked up my Snoopy earlier this year, I received a call that it was ready. Went over there later that day and it was still in its shipping package. That’s fine. They asked me to sit down while they prepared it. They brought the box over, I looked it over and left. No champagne, no Snoopy stuffed animal. Kind of as special as buying a television.

Seriously not complaining…happy to have mine. I simply share this because it is interesting how, in Omega owned boutiques, the experience can be so very different. I’ve also shopped and purchased at the Dallas boutique, and it is a completely different experience than my local one (MUCH better). Guess it comes down to local leadership as it always seems to do.

Boutiques will vary from one another in service. I've only been in three boutiques: St. Louis, San Antonio and Houston. I pre-ordered the Apollo 11 50th just by wandering in to the St. Louis boutique in March 2019, first time visitor and I've never been back. But they were quite accomodating, gave me a bottle of champagne and kept me informed of the progress for delivery which was made in August 2019 via overnight FedEx. I've bought a couple of straps and buckles from the San Antonio boutique and drop in every few months while my wife is shopping in La Cantera, they are a very pleasant group and they always remember my name, but I don't really bother them or ask to try on watches or size bracelets for me. I just like to see what is new and pick up any scuttlebutt. I've been to the Houston boutique probably three times, never bought anything from them. A couple of years ago I dropped in and was talking to the manager and I told him my wife and I were in Houston to celebrate an anniversary, he promptly went in the back and presented me with a bottle of champagne with best wishes. I was impressed with that, I can't remember if I had an Omega on or not. But overall the service in the boutiques has been very good in my case.
