October 5th 2020 - Snoopy Celebration

I passed on getting one of these as the design didn’t appeal to me and I’ve not followed the thread closely for a good while but I am somewhat shocked that watches are still being delivered, are many people still waiting and is there a known timeframe for deliveries?

Seattle OB told me not to expect my Snoopy until 2023. I have no purchase history with the OB.

I have mine on the bracelet. I'll probably switch it to strap eventually but I'm enjoying the watch on the 3861 sapphire sandwich bracelet.
Agree with that - for me, the watch looks great on the bracelet. Well worth the extra cost imo.

I think a blue nato will be killer also.

I'm tempted to put mine on a blue nato but I don't want to cover up the caseback

I always find this interesting. How much do other owners look at the caseback? For me, I looked at it a few times and showed my kids when I got it, but outside of that don’t really feel any great need to go for repeat views.

maybe I’m just boring? I prefer the front….

Honestly not that often. I'll show people the caseback with the animation but I don't mess with it myself that often.

I don’t know anyone that would be interested to see it. Maybe that’s my problem.

By people I really mean my brother, his gf, my one coworker who knows about this watch and my mom who asked about my new watch.

I tend to look at the back of my 3861 every time I go to put it on or take it off, same with my other watches that have an exhibition case back.

I'd probably do the same with the snoopy if/when I get it.

Ha! That would exceed my complement of interested parties by at least two -- although present rules round my gaffe mean they'd have to enjoy a viewing from 6 feet away, or be prepared to disinfect thoroughly and wait while the watch is subjected to a healthy burst of UV. Fun!

Thank you for the add, i picked up my snoopy a couple of weeks ago, but I can’t decide if I should put a 3861 bracelet on it…thoughts?

thank you for everyone’s reply, really appreciate it. UPDATE. I did actually buy the 3861 bracelet, will post pics soon. I have actually started a YouTube channel, where I did an unboxing of the watch and how I came to obtain it. Please check it out, it’s called Stylish London Gentleman

Yesterday, I got the buy more, you will have a better chance. That really made me mad about the situation. The company has your money for 2 years and that is the response. Maybe for startups, but Omega really. If there was no money down it would be ok, but playing now with your money and to be in their good grace to give them more money for pieces you could care less. Absurd.

Dear God. Please don't let Omega become like Rolex.

Unfortunately, I think Omega has made the decision to go down that road.

Too late, already happened. The latest Omega catalog arrived last Friday and was quickly nabbed by my teenage daughter who flicked through and stopped at this page

yeh, girls, gold, diamonds, no surprise there I thought, but this is what my, not especially watch-savvy daughter said:-

This is the most Fugly-ass Rolex-looking Omega. “Would you like some more watch with your diamonds madam?” Looks like some Unicorn puked all over it.

10% price hikes, keeping full deposits for 2 years for a novelty dog watch…really bad form.

Gadzooks -- was that once a Constellation? I weep for the poor creature forced to wear that hideous armour or gold and dazzle.

It is getting frustrating for sure. I put in an order for Seamaster 300 in blue pretty soon after they were announced with my AD. However many months later , I've given up -- just as I did with my Snoopy preorder, although I'v still got thousands "on deposit" for these various Omegas that don't show up. I don't blame the AD -- I know they've put in the orders and check on them faithfully, but it seems to be the new new normal on some models.

Is it just supply chains at this point?
