Obsolete technology, I know. But you certainly can’t argue with a nine second gain in the last month! My 52-year-old Accutron 214 Railroader with tuning fork movement, steel case, and 24-hour Canadian railroad dial.

Tuning fork movements still have their appeal and that one is beautiful.

I like the Tuning forks, I have 2 and am still trying to talk a friend out of a humming but not running Astronaut. He is being very stubborn ::censored::

Good enough for spies, good enough for me. Still only loses a minute about every quarter.

A well-tuned Accutron can still compete with the best of them. I've had many and still love the Astronaut in all its iterations, particularly the 18k gold one...which I'm still hunting for...

Obsolete only as far as trains are never on time anymore. No need for accurate time keeping!
    Nice watch!

Without the railroads having posted timetables, how would we know how late the train is? Railroad watches weren’t designed for the useage of the person catching the train, they were designed for the people who actually operated the trains.

I know whom they were for, but giving the state of the US and for what is worth the German railway system, timetables are optional once the trains leave the first station.
