It has so much information that it's hard to digest...sort of overwhelming for a simple dude like myself. It has so much information that I was curious as to its weight...so I weighed it...AND...

    ...get ready...

    ...wait for it...

    image.jpeg

    3,128 grams = 6.89606 pounds!

    Holy smokes!

    OK...calculating...3,128g / 552g = 5.67 Dunkin' XL cups @ 24 fluid ounces each.

24 fluid ounces = 4 cups of Dunkin' coffee.

    5.67 x 4 = 22.68 cups of Dunkin' coffee (approximate).

@Mad Dog, it will save you loads if/when you go after a nice vintage speedy. If I could, I'd carry it around in my pocket!

I hear you...I've been carrying it around (in its shipping box) in my old issued military helmet bag...works great lasts longtime...until the duct tape reinforced handles give way.

Does it also contain information on the mark series or is it really, as the title implies, "moonwatch only"?

Wait a minute @Mad Dog , you fly jet aircraft for a living and are intimidated by a mere 6 pound book? Might have to rethink my allegiance to Delta. :D

No it really is strictly Moonwatch only, if the authors had covered the entire Speedmaster range including the Mark series, Reduced, Date, MK40 etc you'd be looking at a book 5-6 times the size to maintain the level of detail this book has. The depth it contains though is just staggering, never seen a watch book do it so well.

Sad thing is there is a review on Amazon that dings this book because, while it has great info on the Moonwatches, it doesn't have info on other Speedmasters. What a disappointment it must have been for the reviewer to open up his "Moonwatch ONLY" book and find out it was only, ur, about moonwatches...
