I really like the PO Ultra Deep and especially the one with orange bezel with its unique lumen. The weight is 9 gram lesser than the PO Chronograph and I recall that is was a felling of freedom to come home and take off the 265 gram chrono. I know the case and bracelet has been redesigned and should be more comfortable...maybe the 254 gram (possibly around 235 gram with 2-4 links taken off) would be felt acceptable?

My biggest wish is that Omega finally releases a Planet Ocean 43.5 with orange bezel and a black dial made of O-Megasteel. Did not like the one with white dial....sad they went that path for such a classic watch.

Do you guys think Omega will make use of this new type of steel for other watches in the Planet Ocean series or will be reserved solely for the Ultra Deep?

I have the 43.5 Orange/white PO. Even with one link out, it is just over 200grams. Some days it does feel good to take it off at night. So it is still chunky and a bit heavy. The Omega steel will not likely change that. If you really want comfort, the rubber or water proof leather strap (Hirsch Grand Duke in pic) are the most comfortable solutions.

Thanks for you reply. Since 2005 and up to 2012 I had 7 different color/strap/bracelet varations from the PO series. My first PO was the orange version and I just missed it when I later had black bezel with white/orange numbers. I tried the orange/white PO once but was in my opinion more a purely summer watch...and still a beauty.

I could easily accept 190-200 gram but a quarter kilogram is a challenge if I intend to use it as a watch for daily use.
As an alternative I would like to replace my 40mm Blancpain Fifty Fathoms GMT SS with the newer 45,5mm Fifty Fathoms full titanium or Rolex Submariner No Date. But dammed I just like the PO with an orange bezel.....
