So I had this Connie 2782 in my watch list, a US only auction so I wasn't really planning a bid, but it looked like a real nice original example with a great flat-dome dial under all that muck and through those blurry photo's. Certainly one to get the Connie collector's juices flowing if it is as good in hand as suspected. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-Cons...vip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m43663.l10137Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Anyway it ended on the 22nd October for $1200, which I thought a pretty good deal for the buyer and I didn't expect to see it again, certainly not so quick. Until this evening, just 5 days later, now with a BIN of $2999. The seller says it has been serviced and has taken some way better photo's and it looks real nice.....although now for some reason I find it a much less attractive proposition and for the hell of me can't figure out quite why that is? https://www.ebay.com/itm/all-origin...h=item1a63394b01:g:R8IAAOSwl29b1IZV:rk:9:pf:0Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
That's a really nice one. Whether the quick revamp is worth $1799 or not... that's in the eye of the beholder.
The original price was decent considering the condition. The buyer took a bit of a chance due to quality of pictures. The new price is ridiculous. I suppose the owner is trolling for offers, service or not. gatorcpa
