Not sure what I have!

Hello everyone. I recently purchased this watch from an overseas collector. In hindsight I should’ve come here a lot sooner-however I didn’t think to look!
I purchased this from an antique and vintage collector from Europe (Slovenia) with fine reviews. I paid just over $1,100 for it.
Any information about this watch would be both useful and educational for me. Your thoughts are most appreciated!

It look like the dial read Seamaster Cosmic. Strangely, I have never seen a Seamaster Cosmic in this type of case before. Not sure about the authenticity of it though, need some better, clearer photo

It looks to be reference 166.0140 and it seems as though the 'Seamaster Cosmic' was later added at some point. A similar watch was discussed on OF a while back here.
