It's hard to tell if it is actually a DON bezel

It's a SON bezel for sure. Scratch over 90.

 

That's the sort of thing I would chuck straight into my waste-bin . . .

 

The seller obviously disagrees. He fished it out of his.

 

Even worse, this is the same EB seller who is marketing a nice 105.012-66CB for 5500 GBP!
The 105.012-66 appears to have a slightly better bezel.

Definitely a nice example of a 105.012, but not a CB. That's a HF.

 

Opps. You are correct. Meant to say HF. It is a nice one and I don't have an HF from 1966 but I'm not paying these prices!!

As I saw it, I intended to open a thread with the title "CAO (chipped all over) bezel @eBay", but the forum has been much faster

 

there may be a lot of bezels coming out the bin now

 

People just need to give these a nickname...call it a "meteor shower bezel" and keep posting that description on every watch forum you can log into for about 6 months, and it will become a thing...then values will go even higher.

 

Seriously, who buys that? It has 2 bidders at the mo, just a couple of £ so maybe a trinket of some kind but what price would it become more than a trinket/curiosity? £50? jeez

 

Can you install it upside down as a rally bezel?
