Really nice watch! Up until 1945, Bulova generally stamped a date code on the movement of their watches. These watches cannot usually be dated by info on the case back. After 1946, the date code was usually stamped on the case back. There doesn't appear to be a date code on the back of your watch, so it likely pre-dates 1945. The case is gold filled, and the corners of the case back have almost corroded through. A good goldsmith could clean that up for you, and flood those corners with gold solder. You don't want the case to corrode right through!

Thanks. I also used the movement code, they engraved a pic on the movement plus only uses a specific movement for a certain time and all those came to 1940

Bulova date codes...

Most often found stamped on the movement, even into the 60's and 70's.

Cheers, Al
