It's a good thing not all movement cal 321 drive a Speedmaster, or there would be no Seamaster 105.001-62, 105.004-64, cal 321

Not sure you'll ever let those go or if I could afford those but DIBS !

Thanks. I never say never, but these are my favorites at the moment. Even more than Speedy 105.012-65, cal 321.

On the subject of 105.001s and 105.004s, I believe the cases are very similar, yet different. Could anyone point out what are the points of discernment that separate the 001 from the 004?

The 101.010 does not have the uniform chamfer on the side of the lugs, so it it is easier to spot.

There is not much difference. Even the hands of later versions of 105.001 were the same as 105.004

Thanks! You’re not the first to ask though. Unfortunately this is my grandfather’s watch, so I’ll never let this one go.

Is the dial on a Seamaster 321 of the same diameter as a Speedmaster 321? I have a 105.003 project watch and are thinking about putting in a Seamaster dial but not sure if it would fit?

No, they are not; and they cannot be of the same diameter as the Speedy is a much larger watch.

This is not 321, but 320. But, the very same design (coffin markers) is used one 321 too.

One better photo here. I shoot all of my watches in this nail-box 😀
