Hi, No its just that as an American citizen, the office for foreign assets control (or OFAC), put the retailer "La Riviera" on the Clinton list. Meaning you're not legally allowed to engage in any commercial transaction with them. Thats also why you can only pay in cash in those stores, because Visa, Mastercard, American Express had to pull out from their partnerships with the retailer.

The whole idea of it all being that that retailer is suspected of money laundering, and that you would be taking part in that indirectly.
